The Meet Sweet
Fany and Vivek were classmates while they were studying Engineering at CMR Institute of Technology. While Fany was the bubbly popular girl in class, Vivek was the amiable geek happy doing his own thing.
By a strange twist of fate, the university decided that ‘F’ does indeed come after ‘V’ in the alphabetic order, so Vivek who is generally accustomed to being the last roll no. was pleasantly surprised to find a beautiful and smart girl after him as Roll no. 59.
58 hoped his grades would improve on account on 59 showing him answers during exams, while that didn’t happen, a small friendship developed between the two. A friendship that kept growing till the two were inseparable.
They discovered that they had a lot in common, be it their mutual love for dogs or their propensity to make the silliest of jokes or even their competitive nature. While at the same time they learnt to cherish their differences, while one loves action movies the other is a sucker for rom-coms, one being very particular about food and the other willing to eat anything that doesn’t move.
From being classmates and best friends the two moved on to
become co-workers and lovers. Being from the same cultural background helped to
seal the marriage as the families were more than willing to get the two
married.
Vivek completed his Masters in Business Administration and is a Sales and Marketing manager with Adidas while Fany is a Senior Software Engineer with Siemens. Both love playing games and don’t be surprised if you catch the two of them in a sleepy cafe somewhere playing Scrabble, Chess, Monopoly or even Hand Cricket.
